‘High Tide’ is the short story I wrote for my Australian Writers Centre writing group’s second anthology, which has just been released.
It’s the story of almost sixteen year old Lilly and the unexpected adventure she has on Tempest Island. All she wants is for the boy she likes to see her as more than just the fun sidekick. But things go wrong and it quickly becomes life or death. With spectacular scenery, unpredictable wildlife, a set of gorgeous twins, and an overprotective father, Lilly is in for the adventure of a lifetime. But will she survive?
‘High Tide’ is a fun read and a great introduction to Tempest Bay. The first full length Tempest Bay story is my current work in progress and I’m loving bringing it to life!

There’s lots of different genres – something for everyone!
‘High Tide’ has a ‘Unicorns and Rainbows’ rating. Seriously light hearted, awesome good fun, refreshing, and not a trace of dark and twisted.
Lilly has one wish for her sixteenth birthday – for Liam to see her as more than just a friend. But when a beach adventure goes horribly wrong, her priorities change from romance to survival. Will she get her heart’s desire?
