For as long as I can remember I’ve been a reader. The library was my favourite place growing up and still is. I was into Sci-fi and Fantasy in early high school. Lord Of The Rings of course. Before that, younger, The Famous Five by Enid Blyton. Remember them? A favourite book was called “The Last Of The Really Great Whangdoodles”. I loved that book and when I had my own kids I waxed lyrical about how fantastic it was. Only to be disappointed when I finally tracked down a copy – sadly it didn’t live up to my memories. I guess I’ve grown up.
When I was 14 we moved to a new house. The house required a lot of work and my parents always had some weekend project going. Of course the whole family was expected to contribute. I used to look forward to smoko and lunch and I’d always have my nose in a book. Dragging those breaks out as long as possible (“I’ll wash up mum”) to squeeze in the maximum page count. I still remember reading Gone With The Wind (I was probably way too young) and having to hide the fact I was crying over the ending from my dad and brother so they wouldn’t tease me about it.
Nowadays I still read. A lot. I read everything, but love Romance best. Contemporary, Paranormal, Young Adult, New Adult, even Erotica. Funny, Dark, Rural, Sexy, or Sweet, I read them all.
So I’d like to share some of my favourite authors with you. Starting with JA Huss.
I’ve only just discovered JA Huss. She wrote this book called ‘Tragic’ and I’ve had it on my Kindle for years. I think it was a freebie but I never read it because the cover just didn’t appeal. When I finally picked it up a couple of months ago I was kicking myself. JA Huss is an awesome author! Her books are seriously addictive.
JA Huss’s latest release is book four in the ‘Mister’ series. You don’t have to have read the whole series in order, but you will enjoy it a whole lot more if you do. I couldn’t put it down and I’ve got a policy of reviewing every book I read straight away, if I liked it. (I don’t tend to review the books I don’t like). Here is my Good Reads & Amazon review:
Mr. Mysterious by J.A. Huss My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book! Twists and turns galore, but really it’s about a girl who likes a boy, puts a plan in place to get that boy, and discovers that what she gets isn’t what she thought she was going to get. If that makes sense.
I love, love love Cindy, Cinderella. And I love Mr Mysterious. He’s my favourite Mister so far. And together they are totally awesome! I read this book way too late into the night (on a work night when I should have saved it for the weekend) but I don’t regret it even a little. Awesome book!
If you’d like to buy this book I’ve included the link Amazon below. I’ll give you the link to Mr Perfect too, the first book in the series.
I hope you love JA Huss as much as I do. Let me know what you think!
And Book One in the Mister series:
